This
fall, USA TODAY and The New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint
Anselm College partnered to bring America’s Youth Forum
2004 to high schools and colleges nationwide. This exciting
civic engagement project was designed to provide voting-age students
with the opportunity to research public policy issues of significance
to them, and to formulate thought-provoking questions to be asked
of the democratic presidential candidates, in a series of live forums
at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics.
Under
the direction of some of America’s most committed educators,
this program brought together over 8,000 students in 40 states to
study issues on the minds of young voters. USA TODAY was delivered
to participating classrooms two days per week for eight weeks and
additional resources were accessed on this website.
The program culminated in two stimulating
forums between Governor Howard Dean, Representative Dennis Kucinich,
General Wesley Clark and students participating in the program from
across the country.

the Forum” page. To access the audio portion of the forum
